Hello

We work with a WYSIWYG frontend, which produses and manipulates XML-Files, but for special features, we have to change the XML-Files manually (therefore we use XML Copy Editor) and load it again into the frontend. Mostly we work with both applications simultaneously.

At the moment the XML Copy Editor does not recognize, when a loaded XML-File is changed from a third party application.

So it would be very helpful, when the XML Copy Editor would check the timestamp of a file (Date/Time when opened it), as soon the editor window is getting the focus back.

If there is a change of the timestamp, the Editor should give out an Alert with the option to refresh the file from source.

There is such a behavior, when try to save the from outside changed file, but the buttons seems to have no effect. Also it makes more sense for us to check it on focus change, so there is no loss of inputs between activating the window and saving the file.

Kind regards
Raphy

I support the inclusion of this feature.
