I can compile xineliboutput fine but picture is stuttering and there are lots of decoding artifacts in the picture. This happens in SD channels, latest VDR 1.7.6. Are there any patches/compilation settings to make it work?

I have this same problem. Especially watching new vdr 1.7.x produces bad quality. Old 1.6.0 and older recordings are fine. I'm getting every now and then block artifacts in live TV too. The new TS recordings play without errors with other mediaplayers such as Totem.

I wonder if something after vdr 1.7.4 triggered this?

Latest CVS xineliboutput works flawlessly over here. Give it a try.

Oops, one important word missing - I meant watching new vdr 1.7.x TS recordings produces bad quality. VDR version that I'm using is 1.7.7.

Thanks! Based on a short test it works now perfectly!

I didn't notice there was this change in CVS.

Also due to VDPAU my system is now better than ever. I was suspecting error in Ubuntu's xine-lib so I compiled a new xine-lib. That wasn't waste of time :^)

Well no VDPAU for me - hardware is too old. I had xine lib compiled as well but moved back to Ubuntu stock version as playing Xvid AVIs didnt work.
