Hello, I am trying to get xine to play DVDs on Sony Vaio PCG-9516 laptop, using Intel 815 video card. Play using xshm driver works fine, but the video quality is pretty bad because of dropped frames. When I try to use the XV driver, I get a blue square that covers 2/3 of the picture. I already read the docs and put XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps into the config file. I also tried Option "OverlayMem" "829440" which was suggested elsewhere as a cure for problems with Intel 815, with no results. I am using Suse 10.2 with all latest updates, X Window System Version 7.1.99.902 (7.2.0 RC 2) Release Date: 13 November 2006 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 7.1.99.902 libxine-1.1.3-0 from pacman My current XOrg.conf file says Section "Device" BoardName "I815" BusID "0:2:0" Driver "i810" Identifier "Device[0]" # Screen 0 VendorName "Intel" Option "XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps" "true" Option "OverlayMem" "829440" EndSection I don't see any error messages from Xine, except about dropped frames from time to time.
