OK,=20 So new drivers might be something to try; however, I can't find anything = usefull on http://www.savagenews.com about s3 Savage/MX drivers and = XFree 4.2. Looks like there are some links to older 4.0.3 and 4.1.0 = drivers, but nothing recent. =20 Could you provide specific links or the nature of the 'broken' parts of = the XFree 4.2 s3 drivers? =20 BTW: I forgot to mention, that somehow, in Mozilla 1.0, serveral/most = mpegs play (with sound). I don't know how, but they play in the middle = of my mozilla screen (no visible borders or anything on the mozilla = screen) - they are resized a bit with some resize distortion, but = viewable. I don't know what is playing mpegs in mozilla, but it = seem to be ok with the existing XFree driver. Not sure how to tweak = mozilla to not fire xine off after already playing the mpeg (I have no = helpers defined in mozilla) - I rather use xine anyway since I want = mpgs, wmv/asf/avi, movs to all work.
