Thanks for the answer.
i was trying xine --verbose > ./xine_verbose_report
load_plugins: skipping unreadable plugin directory
main: all available video drivers failed.
and go figure, it found some old plugins located in
/usr/local, even if i had compiled with prefix=/usr
So I did try to make a symlink in my homedir,
.xine/plugins to /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.0.3 but got a
whole lot of errors.
Then for last i just did a configure without the
prefix stuff, so the packade installed to /usr/local
instead and whoah now i had video drivers again: dxr3
aadxr3 xv opengl aa xshm xxmc none sdl vidix vidixfb
But the question is, how do i tell xine-lib to search
in /usr/lib instead of the local stuff?
