For those of you following cvs, I've updated the divx4 plugin to
check the version number of libdivxdecore.so. If the version found
is too old or if libdivxdecore.so does not seem to support the
version request, the divx4 plugin will print a warning and disable
This version check can be overridden via .xinerc if you're
sure your libdivxdecore is good. See the README.divx4 for details.
I've made this feature as good as I can, but I can't possibly test
with every divx4linux/OpenDivx package out there. If you experience
strange behaviour with the version check, please let me know
(but check the README first!).
If there are no serious problems with this check, it will also be
in the next xine version 0.9.3.
I'd also like to remind people that in the next version, ffmpeg
will have a higher default priority than the divx4 decoder. Again,
read the README!
