Bugs item #1469480, was opened at 2006-04-12 21:54 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1469480&group_id=9655 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: audio output problems Group: v1.1.1 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Lueddich (lueddich) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: AC3 => jumping channels !? Initial Comment: Hi, if I play a DVD or AVI with Xine on my MythTV-box, the channels are jumping. Sometimes, the Center really is the center, but most of the time, it is the front-left speaker or the surround-left speaker or any other, but not the real center speaker, that's 'talking' to me... When I press PAUSE, FF or FRWD, the channels jump again... I am using a PUNDIT-R chassis with an onboard AC-97 soundcard (ATI IXP-150) using the atiixp module of ALSA. I updated ALSA to the newest version (1.0.11rc4), XINE-LIB is the newest version (1.1.1) and XINE-UI is 0.99.4, the newest version, too... On the audio-tab there's 'auto' selected. If I start xine with --verbose=2, the output including some jumps using FF is in file I attached. Is this a known bug? Or have I done anything wrong? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1469480&group_id=9655 |

It is a pity, because I tried to submit everything I could and other guys have those problems, too, but nobody gives a f*** about it... You can close this thread, I am not using Xine any more and won't be Using it again in future. The internal player of MythTV, developed in about half a year (!!!) didn't have this problem from the start. And you should close your SourceForge-Tracker-Thing, because if not, there are other people like me that want to help... It is fascinating that during > 18 months nobody did ever have a look at this and I am really angry about this. I explicitly don't close this ticket myself because I would like to see, how long it takes till somebody does his "job"... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Lueddich (lueddich) Date: 2006-07-12 15:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1500868 I still have this problem, is anybody interested in it or can I stop watching this ticket!? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Lueddich (lueddich) Date: 2006-07-12 15:57 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1500868 I still have this problem, is anybody interested in it or can I stop watching this ticket!? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Lueddich (lueddich) Date: 2006-04-13 12:22 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1500868 I did a --verbose=9 and attached it... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1469480&group_id=9655 |
