[xine-user] Re: xine exits with code 127 on certain VCDs

I explored the problem a little more. When kaffeine tries
to go beyond the first track, it dies with the following error
message:

kaffeine: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.2/xineplug_inp_vcd=
.so:
undefined symbol: vcdinfo_get_seg_resolution

If anyone can suggest how I can fix this, that would be great.

Hello,

When I try to play certain VCDs using xine, the VCD maker's
"splashscreen" sequence plays without problem, and then,
before moving on to the censor board certificate or the actual
movie, xine exits with status 127.

If I play VCD-2 of the same movie, it plays without any problem.
Likewise, if I use vcdxrip to get the mpg files to hard disk, and
then play the movie from hard disk, there are no problems.
I've also been able to play VCDs from other companies successfully.

I am currently running libxine1-1.1.1-0.pm.0 (rpm from Packman for
SuSE 10.0). I did not face this problem with xine-lib 1.0.1 (rpm from
Dag Wieers for Fedora 2).

Is this a known problem/regression with 1.1.1? I'd greatly appreciate
any tips.
