I've documented this file as best as I can, given my > limited understanding of swscaler's internals. very nice work! :-) i'd vote for including this, however not in libxine.so. there is a lot of code here, with thousands of conversions we may never use. so i believe we should create a libxine_swscaler.so instead. any plugin using it would cause the library to be loaded, we don't need to worry about it. besides, embedded users can package it separately and dependencies will be taken care automatically. i have libxine (opie mediaplayer2) running in my zaurus, it was the first app that worked for playing mp3s. xmms embedded just crashed. in opie, they packaged each xine plugin separately so user can choose exactly what kind of media he wants to play.
