Ah, I thought this error was directly related to why I have no sound, regardless of what I play. I have video, just no sound. To answer your question, because I thought this was why I had no sound I recompiled my kernel, installed alsa, etc... This means that there is no audio plugin available to decode 'QDesign Audio v2'. :) Seriously. The codec (also known as QDM2) is one of the Holy Grail A/V codecs that we all seek. One day, perhaps... I appreciate that you tried a great many things to remedy the error. What solutions did you try, out of curiousity? (And to reiterate, there are no workable solutions currently.)
