My very first Linux project is to provide two
separate displays in a kiosk type situation. Each display will allow a user to
choose between 5 different short video presentations (no sound). I have
downloaded and compiled the Xine library and example it all looks
It appears to me that it would be a good idea to
have a single PC with two video cards. My General questions are:
1. does Xine use any video card processing to
decode MPEG files and if so can each Xine process be configured to run on a
particular card and so take advantage of any on card processing?
2. What Linux distribution is more suited to
this type of application?
Any tips, comments links about hardware and
software would be gratefully received.
