Hi! Thanks, for your last tips. Unfortunately, -kb makes the keyboard problems even worse (I suspected this, because I had the keymaps in some earlier tests in the wrong place resulting in disabling the xkb-extensions). But the remaining problems seem not to be too big: Just the AltGr, Caps and Numlock modifiers do not work. It looks like I have to many symbols for these keys. I think, it should be possible to tweak xc/programs/Xserver/hw/vnc/kbdptr.c a bit to achieve something. Could you give me a rough overview, where I could start? Regards, Uli Information, leading too my assumptions: in XFree.n.log: > Type "ONE_LEVEL" has 1 levels, but <RALT> has 2 symbols > Ignoring extra symbols from xev, pressing and not releasing the AltGr (right Alt)-Key: MappingNotify event, serial 23, synthetic NO, window 0x0, request MappingKeyboard, first_keycode 8, count 1 KeyPress event, serial 23, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001, root 0x3f, subw 0x0, time 77651, (171,107), root:(175,137), state 0x0, keycode 8 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: "" KeyRelease event, serial 29, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001, root 0x3f, subw 0x0, time 77901, (171,107), root:(175,137), state 0x0, keycode 8 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: "" KeyPress event, serial 29, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001, root 0x3f, subw 0x0, time 77901, (171,107), root:(175,137), state 0x0, keycode 8 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: "" KeyRelease event, serial 29, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001, root 0x3f, subw 0x0, time 77934, (171,107), root:(175,137), state 0x0, keycode 8 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: "" KeyPress event, serial 29, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001, root 0x3f, subw 0x0, time 77934, (171,107), root:(175,137), state 0x0, keycode 8 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: "" and so on |
