When normalising email it would be good if the folder that the email was last kept in can be preserved where this information is present. This should be added to the xml as a seperate element.
For pst files readpst does actually put its output in the specified folders, it is just that we are not getting and saving this information. Testing on other email types will also need to be done and some email types may not store any such folder type information.
Fixed in testing branch. This change adds a tag called email:folder with the name of the folder the email was in if such information was present. This change also alters the URIs for files to include folder information and corrects a minor issue with the URIs where the message number was not always separated by a path seperator. Note that the change to URIs will result in additional folder structure when exporting.
I have incremented the email plugin to version 3.3.4 as a test only version and included here to allow external users to test. This plugin also includes the fix for bug #386 (pst files not correctly normalising international characters) and the basic fix for bug #389 (pst file with embedded email not normalising correctly).
Assigned to Kirti to test this change.
