Using Zena normalise a large (488 pages) PDF file. Open it through Zena viewer. Frequent turn pages makes the viewer stalled.

JPedal (our third-party PDF renderer) does not allow the PDF file to be streamed, and thus the data must be converted to a byte array in our viewer and passed in one blob to JPedal. This will not be easy to fix as it would require modifying the JPedal source code. A temporary solution is to increase the java heap size to as much as practically possible.
Is there any reason to keep this one open?
IcePDF, a MPL-1.1 licensed of what appears to be a derivitate of Jpedal, appears to support streaming. As priorities permit we'll look closer alternatives.
https://pdf-renderer.dev.java.net didn't seem to support a stream interface after a modest look.
Not urgent, but looking into a streaming PDF viewer would be useful.
Worth wile looking at new pdf technology to see if we have new alternatives to stream pdfs for viewing.
