I just compiled X-Chat from the CVS. It's 1.9.7plus
now, but that does not matter as mush because i'm
experiencing the same problems in 1.9 for a quite of time
When i start X-Chat, i get a really big bunch of output
to my .xsession-errors file. The file even reached
300+Megz in a few days of a non-stopping X-Chat session.
Now i started the CVS version from konsole. here's what
i get:

(xchat:14889): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkprogressbar.c:
line 864 (gtk_progress_bar_set_fraction): assertion
`GTK_IS_PROGRESS_BAR (pbar)' failed

(xchat:14889): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkprogressbar.c:
line 864 (gtk_progress_bar_set_fraction): assertion
`GTK_IS_PROGRESS_BAR (pbar)' failed

(xchat:14889): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkprogressbar.c:
line 864 (gtk_progress_bar_set_fraction): assertion
`GTK_IS_PROGRESS_BAR (pbar)' failed

(xchat:14889): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkprogressbar.c:
line 864 (gtk_progress_bar_set_fraction): assertion
`GTK_IS_PROGRESS_BAR (pbar)' failed

(xchat:14889): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkprogressbar.c:
line 864 (gtk_progress_bar_set_fraction): assertion
`GTK_IS_PROGRESS_BAR (pbar)' failed

(xchat:14889): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkprogressbar.c:
line 864 (gtk_progress_bar_set_fraction): assertion
`GTK_IS_PROGRESS_BAR (pbar)' failed

(xchat:14889): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkprogressbar.c:
line 974 (gtk_progress_bar_set_orientation): assertion
`GTK_IS_PROGRESS_BAR (pbar)' failed

The lines appear very fast. 5Lines per second maybe. I
don't see anything wrong in the main X-Chat window
though. But i hate this error as it can fill the whole
/home partition of my hard drive in just a few days.
Any ideas on how to get rid of it? i currently have my
.xsession-errors symlinked to /dev/null, but i don't
want it that way ;]
Thanks,
RQ
P.S. I don't want to send zed a third message today as
it could be considered as flood, so i report that bug
here. It's smarter anyways. ;]

Is it fixed in CVS now? (Dec 26+)?
