Also what level of xCAT and could you go on the installed node and get a copy of  /tmp/mypostscript and list it in the node.

Also run  lsdef -t osimage

sles11--statelite-compute-rscttest  (osimage)
sles11--statelite-service-xcattest  (osimage)
sles11-ppc64-netboot-compute-rscttest  (osimage)
sles11-ppc64-netboot-oldpro  (osimage)
sles11-ppc64-statelite-/service-xcattest  (osimage)
sles11-ppc64-statelite-compute  (osimage)
sles11-ppc64-statelite-compute-rscttest  (osimage)
sles11-ppc64-statelite-service-xcattest  (osimage)
sles11-ppc64-statelite-test_new  (osimage)

Then pick the image you are installing and run  for example:
lsdef -t osimage -l -o sles11--statelite-compute-rscttest

 exlist=/install/custom/netboot/sles/compute-rscttest.exlist
    imagetype=linux
    osname=Linux
    osvers=sles11
    otherpkgdir=/install/post/otherpkgs/sles11/
    otherpkglist=/install/custom/netboot/sles/compute-rscttest.otherpkgs.pkglist
    pkgdir=/install/sles11/
    pkglist=/install/custom/netboot/sles/compute-rscttest.pkglist
    postinstall=/install/custom/netboot/sles/compute-rscttest.postinstall
    profile=compute-rscttest
    provmethod=statelite
    rootimgdir=/install/netboot/sles11//compute-rscttest
    synclists=/install/custom/netboot/sles/compute-rscttest.synclist

This will show exactly the directories that  we are picking up the information for the install.    Let's make sure during install we are going to the right directory.

The problem is the same on all nodes. The other 3 postscript files work fine. It is only syncfiles that fails to start. I am doing diskfull installs. It is a brand-new xCAT-2.5.1 install.

Could you give us an lsdef  <nodename>   on one of the nodes,  it does not sync to during install.    It should work during installs.  Also is this a diskfull,  diskless or statelite install.   What level of xCAT are you running?

syncfiles works fine under 'updatenodes -F' but not during installs. Is this common?
