Hello, Thanks for your very fast answer Eric :) I took a 2.6.15 kernel from kernel.org, patched it,used your .config, and I get exactly the same result, the screen shakes, the tv looses video sync and the kernel stops/crashes. Could you please send me directly to my email address your binary bzImage? I could check whether or not I can boot it directly, and if the problem comes from my xbox or from my compilation. I also found a small fix: I installed the 2.4.31 headers from the x-dsl project on xbox-linux sourceforge site, I was able to compile my wifi adapter module, and it ended up working like a charm :) I still have other peripherals I need to check on. So I went on, took the sources of 2.4.31, patched them and compiled them with the config found in /boot/config-2.4.31-xbox on Xebian 1.1.4, and I was able to boot using that bzImage! Could it be an incompatibility between 2.6 framebuffer driver and the less supported video chipset in newer xbox? I bought mine in august 2005. How old is yours? Thanks, seb |
