    Hi, I have installed edia server on a new installation of fedora core 7 but I am getting the following error:

    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Run
       at gnu.java.lang.MainThread.run(libgcj.so.8rh)
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Run not found in gnu.gcj.runtime.SystemClassLoader{urls=[], parent=gnu.gcj.runtime.ExtensionClassLoader{urls=[], parent=null}}
       at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(libgcj.so.8rh)
       at gnu.gcj.runtime.SystemClassLoader.findClass(libgcj.so.8rh)
       at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(libgcj.so.8rh)
       at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(libgcj.so.8rh)
       at gnu.java.lang.MainThread.run(libgcj.so.8rh)

    I have java installed and I have installed the latest JRE from Sun.

    Is there anything else I need to install?
    This was working fine on my install of core 6 but I can't remember if I had to install anything else to get it running.

    Tony

      Looks to me, from your stack, you aren't running the sun JRE.  It's saying something about gnu.gcj .. which tells me you're running a different JRE.

      You might want to look at uninstalling any JREs that you don't need .. or figure out how to make the sun jre the one used by default.  I know how to do this on kubuntu, but not fedora.

      Good luck.

      I have removed the java that was installed with fedora and added the path to the new java program provided by the sun jre (/opt/jdk1.5.0_12/bin/java)
      now I get this error:

      Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Run

      thanks
