Hi, in ubuntu systems this error happens when libv4l-dev package is not installed. Check if you debian system has a similar package and install it.

    Regards,
    Marco Lorrai.

    Found the problem,

" everyone says: "libv4l-videodev.h from libv4l-dev is a replacement for the obsolete linux/videodev.h" so if your libv4l-dev does not provide libv4l-videodev.h try to replace the string "libv4l-videodev.h" with the "linux/videodev.h" … let me know  "

    root@Pc-01:/home/xx/PGM/wxcam-1.1# grep -rin videodev.h /home/xx/PGM/wxcam-1.1/
    /home/xx/PGM/wxcam-1.1/src/v4l.h:28:#include <linux/videodev.h>
    /home/xx/PGM/wxcam-1.1/src/v4l.h:30:#include <libv4l1-videodev.h>
    /home/xx/PGM/wxcam-1.1/src/device.h:28:#include <linux/videodev.h>
    /home/xx/PGM/wxcam-1.1/src/device.h:30:#include <libv4l1-videodev.h>
    root@Pc-01:/home/xx/PGM/wxcam-1.1#

    replaced string "libv4l1-videodev.h" with  "linux/videodev.h"

now missing only the compilation of CImg as described on page
    http://karbownicki.com/2008/02/05/wxcam-i-detekcja-ruchu/
I think that explains the problem that I have
