WWW Server versions Raai.1 and Compieuw.4 released

WWW Server is a free, easy-to use webserver for Windows, available as GUI application and NT service. This version sports some small improvements.

Raai.1 can properly decode all %xx codes in the URL. Additionally, and the first start function now automatically activates the server on completion.

Raai had a fault in the plugin versioning system. It will not accept plugins from Raai.1 and above. Raai.1 was fixed, and will accept plugins for all releases from the Raai series.... read more

WWW Server version Compieuw.3 released

WWW Server is a free, easy-to use webserver for Windows, available as GUI application and NT service. Released exactly one year after the inital version of Compieuw, this version fixes three smaller bugs and adds correct handling of the %20 sign, so that files with spaces can now be served.

Despite version Compieuw.2 not being announced through the Sourceforge Project News system, you should upgrade to this version if you are currently using Compieuw or Compieuw.1, as those two versions are vulnerable to a Denial-of-Service attack. Compieuw.2 also is the version of the Compieuw series that has been tested the most thoroughly.

WWWServer version Roepvooruit.2 released

WWW Server is a free, easy-to use webserver for Windows, available as GUI application and NT service. This version fixes the GUI in two aspects: it adds support for multiple languages and removes the last obsoleted controls.

This version is the second maintenance release of the Roepvooruit series, meaning that it is fully compatible with other plugins of this series.

The next release will break compatibility with the current plugins, to allow a reorganisation in the plugin architecture. The abilities of it will exceed what is available now, in the sense that cookie support and other things can finally be implemented in a clean and consistent way,

New developer, added source to CVS

WWW Server is a webserver written in Delphi with support for plugins.
The great news is that I have now found another developer. He might be able to fix the Windows 98 problem. To make this more easy, the whole source code has been added to CVS, which should also permit you to download the latest code using the Nightly Tarball.

bugfix version Roepvooruit.1 released

WWW Server is a free, easy-to use webserver for Windows, available as GUI application and NT service. The Roepvooruit server was completely redesigned to provide service support, however, after this change the Start Server button did not work anymore. The service version would crash if the directory c:\program files\www did not exist. This should be solved too.
A future release should be smarter, and also detect if it might be c:\programme\www, as in Germany, or perhaps d:\program files\www. If c:\program files does not exist, the program might still crash.

Www server php addon released

PHP Addon extends WWW Server with the possibility of using PHP to generate dynamical webpages. This first version works, though cookie support is not yet implemented.

To make use of this, you need at least the www server base package, and a script interpreter like PHP or Perl. To get this, surf to http://irespa.vze.com/ and http://www.php.net/
