I've been using wvWare 0.6.5 for a while to get text extraction and
recently found out that sometimes it ends up in an endless loop when
encountering pictures in Word files. The ones i verified were Word 8, I'm
not sure what type of pictures they are.
So I download 0.6.7 but now all I get is a core dump on launch. I'm
compiling this on Solaris 8 for Intel.
- Is Solaris 8 for Intel known to work with 0.6.7?
- I'm compiling this without libwmf. I don't need picture conversion as I'
m only interested in text extractions. Are there any tips or extra options
I need other than a straight ./configure?
- I get the following warning as the last line of configure's stdout:
"configure: warning: libwv will not have wmf to png support: see README"
Isn't this fine since I just want wvWare to skip pictures?
- I get 6 or 7 of these warning during make:
/decompresswmf.c:65: warning: pointer targets in assignment differ in
Is this safe to ignore?
Advanced thanks for any help,
