Seven years down the line the hard working members of the project have
persevered through trolls, skeptics, changes of leadership, slashdotting and
worse to create over one million lines of code and nearly four gigabytes of
media. There have been over twenty thousand software package downloads from the
sourceforge download site and there are often up to ten servers available for
public access at peak times.... read more

Acorn is the second in a series of games created as part of the WorldForge bootstrapping endeavour, aimed at creating an engine for massively multiplayer online games. Acorn builds on this by incorporating a Python-scripted, event-driven rule system, a client/server architecture using the Atlas Protocol System, goal-motivated artificial intelligence, herding behavior and nutrient-based growth simulation, sound detection and automated reaction, and a richer collection of artwork, sound effects, and music.... read more

2D Media: New meadow tiles

After long and hard work, I have created new meadow tiles
which look very realistic.
Have a look at this possible composition :
http://www.worldforge.org/images/screenshots/meadow_test_3_us.jpg

Once I have done some minor tweaks I will add these tiles to the media
repository so that we can use these in our next release.

thoughts, ideas, comments ?
