Thank you Richard. I am using 3.0.=20 =20 I changed it from '{' to '(' and at least it recognizes it now, I think but candle fails with this: =20 C:\enlistments\Main\Build\Setup>candle ems.wxs Microsoft (R) Windows Installer Xml Compiler version 3.0.2925.0 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 2003. All rights reserved. =20 EMS.wxs C:\enlistments\Main\Build\Setup\EMS.wxs(26) : error CNDL0150 : Undefined preprocessor variable '$(WiX.Global.SupportFilePath)'. So this tells me that it recognizes the syntax for the XML but does not recognize my <define ...?>. Should I use something else? =20 ________________________________ From: Ric...@qu... Subject: RE: [WiX-users] Variables used in WiX files. =20 John, =20 At first glance, I suspect you're using the wrong type of parenthesis. If it's WiX 2.x you need ( and ), not { and }. I don't remember it having been changed for WiX 3, but it may have. =20 Regards, Richard ________________________________ * C O N F I D E N T I A L I T Y N O T I C E * ----------------------------------------------------------- The content of this e-mail is intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom it is addressed.
