Light is reporting error 0311 parsing the attached file, which was generated by Jarte Pro (www.jarte.com). Following the suggestion from Jarte, I edited out the Jarte section from the file, which solved this issue. Saving the file by WordPad also solves this issue.

However, Jarte indicated that the file is valid and includes no illegal characters. Rather, they suggested the possibility that light has an error parsing the file.

The Windows Installer requires all of the content to be in a single codepage. Something in that document contains characters of multiple codepages. WordPad likely strips them out.

There are also issues using Microsoft Office Word when creating RTF files. See: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/robmen/archive/2006/05/30/610950.aspx
