Optical drive path added as Windows temp burn path instead
Windows visual diff and merge for files and directories

Browse to the root or a sub directory of a disc on D:\ (an optical drive) & add it as a file or folder to compare, & it appears as:
C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\Burn\
This happens with multiple DVDs & CDs, not necessarily rewritable ones, although I don't know how to tell if they are 'open' or not.
I have checked & there is no desktop.ini file burnt onto the optical discs, or waiting to be burnt, which apparently can cause similar issues in other software.
Win 7 Pro 64 bit, WinMerge 2.12.4.0 Unicode
WinMerge only expands shortcuts and environment variables on paths. Otherwise it uses the path user types/selects. So sounds a bit weird.
I have similar OS myself so I can check if I see something similar later today.
