Is there a way to do a selectbox which gives compatibility settings or optimizes the wrapper for a controller (ps3)/(xbox controller) or joystick? So that the controller or joystick will work out of the box?
just as you did for the auto videocard detection settings, (is probably something totally different, but i hope you know what i mean :P
what settings would that be? If you need something specific added in, I need to know specifically what it is... right now thats about as useful as saying "add in DirectX 11 support and optimization" :-)
the video card detection is super easy.. it just gets codes and memory sizes and enters them in the registry... is there something simple like that which makes joysticks work? I don't use joysticks so I'd need to know specifics.
there can be two solutions.
1. install a software that handle the controller on OS X and translate the actions into keys and mouse actions. This is useful for games that doesn't support controllers directly. The key and mouse actions will be sent automatically to the active application, native or under wine.
2. native Joystick support through DirectInput (part of DirectX). But you need an integration between Wine, WineSkin and OS X support/interface for Joysticks. I think it's more a Wine issue.
