I am using DBPool and PostgreSQL, After inserting an entry into my database, I wish to know the OID. From python. One could do r=c.query("..."), and access this information via r.oidValue. Is there anyway to do this with DBPool. I have something like c=conn.cursor() c.execute(QueryStr) After this I am lost, the only solution I can think of is to select max(oid) but then this will require me to lock that table for only one process and this will work for only insert and not update... any suggestions? Hello all, Our application normally uses the cookie method of identifying the sessions to servlets which works great; but we now need to use an embedded Java Applet in some circumstances, and it needs to retrieve data based on the user's session. I'm planning to write a special servlet for it to call, which will retrieve the data it needs from the database, but this needs to be done in the context of the requesting user's existing session. So, I'm wondering if the Java applet can pass _SID_ in the URL as an argument when it makes its request, while we continue using cookies for the general case. Will WebWare only parse this argument as a session id if UseAutomaticPathSessions is true? Thanks, Chris Backas |
