I've just managed to set up an Apache server 1.3.19 and wanted to play
(i. e. evaluate ;-) ) WebKit via WebKit.cgi . From my experience with
the Installation Guide I have the following comments:
- It should be noted that the port on which the webserver listens has
nothing to do with the default port for AppServer--WebKit. Perhaps a
small graphics describing the interfaces would be helpful.
- The documentation tells to change the WebKitDir in WebKit.cgi .
However, the example /home/me/Webware/WebKit is misleading because
WebKit.cgi tries to import WebKit.CGIAdapter. So, the example
WebKitDir should rather read /home/me/Webware .
- After that I couldn't launch WebKit.cgi successfully until I had
SetEnv PYTHONPATH /...../webware
in the Apache configuration part for the CGI directory.
So far I'm very impressed by Webware. Keep up the good work :-) .
