I took the work from Donovan Preston
and made a quick and dirty kit out of it.
Unpack the file
in the Webware directory, change the base in
base = '/PATH/TO/Webware/TALKit/html/'
and start Webware. You will see a new Context TALKit.
Question: How can I make the setting of base automatically,
so that just unpacking shoould be enough?
(relative paths do not work and I wondered how to get the
corretc absolute path then. Should be trivial, but I failed..)
Ignore the old file TALPage.py from one of
my last mails. It has a small bug,
which I corrected in this version.
TAL is interesting, but transforming home.py in the
Examples directory to a dynamic version was not trivial
for me (failed too). Maybe someone can give it a try and
make the menus dynamic (Cheetah Templates
are much easier to understand for me.)
Enjoy and comments/examples welcome..
Donovan, thanks for the first cut. TALKit will
hopefully make it easier for interested people to
explore TAL in a non Zope context...
