All I have to do is use PSP instead of a servlet directly and the speed is
comparable to PHP. PHP has lower overhead, so performs small transactions
more quickly, while Python is a faster language and scales to performing
more complex operations faster and faster than PHP. PSP and other fast
Python web platforms are similar in speed. For my work, the beat PHP.
