Should we have a separate webware-sig-templates mailing list?
I plan on doing a lot of work on templates this week and I picture many
nitty gritty e-mails flying about...
My initial work will simply be to review all the posted solutions as well
as write some documentation on the general topic from a Python & Webware
point of view.

Excellent! I've been following the discussion this week
with perked ears and have incorporated many of the great
points being raised in a new version of TemplateFiller (now
called TemplateServer). Ian and Arkaitz keep on raising
issues that I'm about to respond to and then the other
posts exactly what I was about say ;-)
TemplateServer is ready to post, but I want to create an
example site before I write anymore. If anyone is
interested, the dev. version is at

I wouldn't bother starting a new list. This topic is
fairly fundamental to Webware and I'd prefer to keep it

Ian's summary is a good starting point, and the WebMacro
site lays the issues out very clearly.

Funny, I'm the opposite. It's been beautiful here for the
last week so I've been off climbing and skiing - until
today when it started pissing down again ;-)
