Just to clarify with an example:
- A daily repeating event is created for 3pm on 1st April 2011 GMT with an email reminder for 10mins prior.
- Each day I receive a reminder at 2:50pm GMT
- On Sunday 27th of March 2011 I receive a reminder at 3:50pm BST (ie. 2:50pm GMT).
- I continue to receive this reminder until clocks revert to GMT in October.
This occurs because the date of the original recurring event is set to a date when GMT was in effect.
This is the date I refer to as the ‘notional’ date because this event occurs every day at 3pm local time not just on 1st April.
The fix involves changing the date component of the ‘notional’ date to the date of the next occurrence of the event.
