When sending a message to a list of email addresses of which at least one has setup an auto reply, the auto reply message is returned as if the first email address on the list "replied", regardless of the actual address that is setup to auto reply. For example, when sending to person@company.com and dog@company.com, and dog has setup an auto reply, the auto reply will provide the proper message but will appear as if it was sent by person.

I noticed the issue in version 1.25, upgraded to 1.26, and obtained the same result. I will have to check with my former network admin to see what version was being used before the upgrade to 1.25, as we didn't have this problem before.

Update: If you choose the customized "From: address for replies", you get exactly what you enter. If, however, you choose the default option of "Determine automatically", the results are consistent with the bug submission.

If you select the 'Automatic' option, Usermin will try to work out your email address based on the settings in the Read Mail module. Basically, whatever it shows when you compose email will be used as the From. The sysadmin can configure this module (using Webmin) to set the domain for From: addresses, and specific a mapping file from usernames to addresses (like /etc/virtusertable).
