I set up a webmin group called 'Accounts' with permission only to
access to the Sendmail Configuration and the ability to
view and delete their own messages as well as compose new messages.
This is a pretty good solution basic web-based email system for
the users on that server, except for the following missing
1. The user can't set a default From address. This would be
very useful if they are on one of the virtual domains
on the server. Even more useful would be if they can
have multiple From addresses to choose from with one
that is the default.
2. The user can't create an address book of their common

features to the current module (I am willing to do them
myself if I can learn enough to do it) or would it
be easier to write a new module or use an existing
module for it?

I have installed postfix as my mail server. there is a web based e-mail
program called neomail. http://neomail.sourceforge.net/ I have used it and
found it easy to customize it's look. User can import their address book. If
your using SSL you can log in using your https:// 8-)
