Webmin appears to be updating itself manually as part of a yum auto-update that I haven't figured out how to turn off yet. I installed virtualmin 3.84 manually - is upgrading it just a simple matter of rpm -Uvh wbm-virtual-server-3.86.gpl-1.noarch.rpm? Is there a mailing list for announcements? Thanks, Josh |

Never mind - looks like I did the install via that .gz modules and not RPMs - re-adding the module/theme in webmin config does the trick. Still curious if new releases are announced anywhere though. Virtualmin releases are announced in the news forum at Virtualmin.com. I think Jamie also announces them on the Webmin announce list, but I might be wrong about that. There is also a yum repository for Virtualmin at http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/universal There is a release package (a package that includes the signature and .repo file needed to use the repository) for supported operating systems to be found in the relevant subdirectory (i.e. centos versions can be found in http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/centos/...). The gpl directories do not require authentication, though some browsers will popup an authentication window. Just click cancel, and it'll load. Note, however, that the release file also sets up the binary repo, which includes a rebuild of the httpd package, among other things, so if you've configured your Virtualmin install to use the standard CentOS httpd package (suexec pointing to /var/www) you'll need to exclude that package or simply disable the binary repository altogether. All of this stuff gets setup for you automatically if you use the install script found on Virtualmin.com.
