I'm just trying out firstly bacula and secondly the new bacula module. I'm trying to add a new schedule, but it keeps failing with the following: Line: 7 Char: 1 Error 'top.opener.ifield' is null or not an object Code: 0 URL: http://xxxx.xxxx.xxxx:10000/bacula-backup/schedule_select.cgi where xxx is my host I'm running this on. I checked the permissions on all the files in that directory and they are set to root owner and group ownership with 755 modes. When I select the "..." box to select my parameters and hit OK, the script attempts to execute in a new blank box and hangs.with the above message box. I get no errors with the choices I make for the schedule, but do get errors if I make a deliberate mistake like not selecting a day or something. Any ideas? Thanks for any help. Steve Campbell |

A little more on this: If I add the schedule manually in my director config, and start the director, it comes up just fine. When I view the schedule in webmin, it complains with "Missing hour:minute spec" The schedule I used was directly out of the Bacula manual. A little more on the little more I previously sent. Don't know why two copies went out firstly of the last message. When I view the pools and their volumes, the VolumeRetention value is not showing in the webmin screens. BTW, I'm running 2.0.3-1 Bacula, but I don't think the configs have changed much considering the complexity of my conf files. Odd, the schedule window works OK for me. Could you post the bacula-dir.conf section for your schdule to the list so I can take a look at it? - Jamie On 28/Aug/2007 13:45 Steve Campbell wrote .. > A little more on this: > > If I add the schedule manually in my director config, and start the > director, it comes up just fine. > > When I view the schedule in webmin, it complains with "Missing > hour:minute spec" > > The schedule I used was directly out of the Bacula manual. > > Steve > > Steve Campbell wrote: > > I'm just trying out firstly bacula and secondly the new bacula module. > > I'm trying to add a new schedule, but it keeps failing with the following: > > > > Line: 7 > > Char: 1 > > Error 'top.opener.ifield' is null or not an object > > Code: 0 > > URL: http://xxxx.xxxx.xxxx:10000/bacula-backup/schedule_select.cgi > > > > where xxx is my host I'm running this on. > > > > I checked the permissions on all the files in that directory and they > > are set to root owner and group ownership with 755 modes. Jamie, I'm still seeing echoes (two of everything). Sorry if that's my original thread causing it. I just started using Thunderbird since my last post here. I can't get to the machine until tomorrow. This below is taken from the example in the manual, though and is what I started trying to do. Schedule { Name = "NightlySave" Run = Level=Full Pool=Monthly 1st sat at 03:05 Run = Level=Full Pool=Weekly 2nd-5th sat at 03:05 Run = Level=Incremental Pool=Daily tue-fri at 03:05 } Pool { Name = Daily Pool Type = Backup AutoPrune = yes VolumeRetention = 10d # recycle in 10 days Maximum Volumes = 10 Recycle = yes } Pool { Name = Weekly Use Volume Once = yes Pool Type = Backup AutoPrune = yes VolumeRetention = 30d # recycle in 30 days (default) Recycle = yes } Pool { Name = Monthly Use Volume Once = yes Pool Type = Backup AutoPrune = yes VolumeRetention = 365d # recycle in 1 year Recycle = yes } I cannot create anything similar to the above schedule without problems. When I add the above manually, and then try to edit it, it says there is not minute:sec or maybe hour:minute - can't remember. The pools are also invalid as the VolumeRetention is blank when I view them. The only changes I made were I replaced 'sat' with 'sun' and 'mon-sat' for 'tue-fri' in the schedule, and made the Daily pool 12d and 12 volumes instead of 10. I'll check this to verify tomorrow to be sure I did what I said I did. Thanks Steve Quoting Jamie Cameron <jca...@we...>: > Odd, the schedule window works OK for me. > Could you post the bacula-dir.conf section for your schdule to the list > so I can take a look at it? > > - Jamie > > On 28/Aug/2007 13:45 Steve Campbell wrote .. > > A little more on this: > > > > If I add the schedule manually in my director config, and start the > > director, it comes up just fine. > > > > When I view the schedule in webmin, it complains with "Missing > > hour:minute spec" > > > > The schedule I used was directly out of the Bacula manual. > > > > Steve > > > > Steve Campbell wrote: > > > I'm just trying out firstly bacula and secondly the new bacula module. > > > I'm trying to add a new schedule, but it keeps failing with the > following: > > > > > > Line: 7 > > > Char: 1 > > > Error 'top.opener.ifield' is null or not an object > > > Code: 0 > > > URL: http://xxxx.xxxx.xxxx:10000/bacula-backup/schedule_select.cgi > > > > > > where xxx is my host I'm running this on. > > > > > > I checked the permissions on all the files in that directory and they > > > are set to root owner and group ownership with 755 modes. I have attached the bacula-dir.conf file. Even though I have changed it so as I can select a schedule and view it, whenever I try to view the Run Times of any schedule, not just the new one, with the "..." button, I get the following popup: Line: 98 Char: 175 Error: 'exclue' is undefined Code 0 URL: http://cnbackup1.cnpapers.net:10000/bacula-backup/edit_schedule.cgi?name=WeeklyCycleAfterBackup I did a grep on all the files in the directory for "exclude" and do not find anythng that remotely resembles the Line and Char indicated in the message. I still get the error box I mentioned earlier anytime I use the "..." or Save button on the Schedule screens and a few other screens, although each has a different line, character, and variable message. The error box is always the same for the particular screen I am using though (Job screen always produces the same screen with the same information, but different from Schedule screen, which always has the same, but different from Job, information. I believe it still updates though. I'll send an image of what the browser produces tomorrow. Hope that makes sense above. Thanks for the efforts. Hi again, A mail user on my server wishes to enable an out of office reply for a 2 week period. The autoreply itself is simple enough, but in the section where I can set which address it should reply from, I change the name & address, but it is reverting back to the original after I click save - I am figuring a permissions issue but don't know where this information is stored - can someone outline where to look? Also, is it possible to have only the 'simple' interface displayed in Usermin on the autoreply module? I could not see anywhere to set this up. Many thanks for any assistance. -- Bye for now, Terry Allen ___________________________________________________________________ hEARd Postal Address: hEARd, 26B Glenning Rd, Glenning Valley, NSW 2261, Australia Internet - WWW: http://heard.com.au http://itavservices.com EMAIL: hm...@oz... Jamie, As an addendum, it appears that maybe an errant "}" was either in place or missing, causing some of this problem. I have not had errors since removing part of the director configuration file and recreating it with Webmin. I couldn't see the problem, but found that something might be wrong as different parts of the file wouldn't show in Webmin Bacula modules. I find that the configuration options have different syntax (referred to as old-style and new-style in the manual) based on the version of Bacula you are running. There are also many options that do not have an input field in the Webmin screens. This may be corrected in the future or maybe not as almost any option can be put in other parts of the configuration. Another reason to use Webmin is it usually won't let you make fat-fingered errors. Thanks Jamie for all the time.
