I have not seen any replies to this, so I guess this is a previously unknown bug? Tried with 440 emails under one nickname, but that busted too. Any ideas anyone? I replied to this a couple of days ago (I think). It is a Usermin bug, which will be fixed in the next release. Currently there is a limit of approximately 10000 characters of addresses.. - Jamie On 29/Sep/2009 14:39 MAR <we...@ro...> wrote .. > > I have not seen any replies to this, so I guess this is a previously unknown bug? > > Tried with 440 emails under one nickname, but that busted too. > > Any ideas anyone? > > Thanks, > > Mike > > > MAR <we...@ro...> wrote .. > > > > I was wondering if there is a limit for the number of emails that can be placed > > in a nickname/group in usermin mail. Sorry, if you did reply, I missed it completely somehow. Glad to hear it will be fixed in the next release, though! :) Thanks, -Mike Jamie Cameron <jca...@we...> wrote .. > I replied to this a couple of days ago (I think). Strictly speaking, this is either a bug or "working as designed, Don't Do That". IMO, if you need to email that many people, you should be using mailing list software, not an address-book based hack. -kgd |

I agree and don't agree. Actually, it is only temporary solution for a client. I don't think it is a very good solution, and certainly no long term solution. However, I don't think there is any particular reason it should be limited (at least not to only 1000 characters). If this is the way someone wants to send out emails, well, then, let them. -Mike |
