Hi all, the new bandwith module does not seem to run under Debian 3 somehow. Is it only ment for DialUp-Computers or can it be used for Fixed-IP-Serv= ers as webmin.mamemu.de as well? If I click on the configuration button to setup the firewall rules etc nothing happens and no entries can bee seen in the firewall module. bis dahin - kind regards Martin Mewes -- ###################################################################### http://www.webmin.com/ | Webbased Administration Tool for http://webmin.mamemu.de/| Unixoid Systems :-) Official Webmin/Usermin Translation Co-Ordinator 2003/2004 ###################################################################### |

The module should work on any system, regardless of whether the IP is fixed or not. However, it assumes you are using the Linux Firewall module to manage your firewall, and have it already set up to some degree .. - Jamie |

You don't need to run a firewall in the sense of actually blocking traffic, just set up the Linux Firewall module as it prompts when you login for the first time. The Bandwidth module can then add special rules to log all traffic, when then use those logs to generate reports. - Jamie On Thu, 2004-09-23 at 10:44, Dave Van Abel wrote: > No firewall on the server > > On Wed, 2004-09-22 at 17:18, Jamie Cameron wrote: > > On Wed, 2004-09-22 at 22:34, Martin Mewes wrote: > > > Hi all, > > > > > > the new bandwith module does not seem to run under Debian 3 somehow. > > > Is it only ment for DialUp-Computers or can it be used for Fixed-IP-Servers > > > as webmin.mamemu.de as well? > > > > > > If I click on the configuration button to setup the firewall rules etc > > > nothing happens and no entries can bee seen in the firewall module. > > > > The module should work on any system, regardless of whether the IP is > > fixed or not.
