Yes, I had imported your GPG key as documented. Fortunately, the problem has disappeared although I don't know why. In /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sources.list I commented out: deb http://download.webmin.com/download/repository sarge contrib deb http://webmin.mirror.somersettechsolutions.co.uk/repository sarge contrib reran apt-get update and as expected the error went away. Then uncommented it and the error returned. Then deleted the GPG key, reran apt-get update and the error went away. Then recreated the key and reran apt-get update and the error returned. Then changed the permissions of the key from 644 to 777 and the error went away. Then deleted the key and recreated with the default permissions of 644 and the error still has not returned. Maybe something was being cached somewhere. The key was/is owned by user and group of root and the cron runs under root. Anyway, if the error returns I'll let you know, thanks for your help. -----Original Message----- From: Jamie Cameron Sent: Saturday, September 29, 2012 10:24 AM To: Webmin users list Subject: Re: [webmin-l]Problem with MergeList/var/lib/apt/lists/download.webmin.com_download_repository_dists_sarge_contrib_binary-i386_Packages Yes, I tested this with the latest versions if apt (and all other packages). Have you imported my GPG key, as documented on http://www.webmin.com/deb.html ?
