For dynamic zones though the SOA serial number needs special attention if it is of the date-based format. If it is just a sequential number then it should not be a problem. For dynamic zones, nsupdate will just add 1 to the serial number, but this could make the serial number 'date' invalid. For date-based format the last 2 digits indicate the number of changes made that day, and as such can not exceed 99. Again, by default the module will not allow the number to exceed 99. However it can be configured to do so, and *either* use a future date or simply treat the serial number as a sequential number until such time as the date becomes valid again. If you look in the user configuration for the module you will see an option specifying what to do when the SOA serial number exceeds 99. Can you run the command 'dig xxx.com soa' where 'xxx.com' is the reverse zone please, and let me know the results. Alternatively you do not have access to perform updates on the reverse zone - again ther eis a module option which specifies that zones must be editable and/or updateable (for dynamic zones). You may need to check this. > And I get this new log on the /var/log/messages : > "named[2543]: client 127.0.0.1#32855: transfer of 'pc.groupe.net/IN': AXFR started" > This just indicates that a zone transfer has begun - it is not an error. > > Is it possible to see what parameters b9ddns uses for the dig command ?
