Is this possible with webmin? I'm not talking > about aliasing an email address. You're (almost) talking about full virtual machines on one physical machine. That gets *very* messy, believe me. What makes life even more difficult is when you want all of the different domains' users to feel as if they're logging in to a dedicated box- you MUST have a separate IP for each domain in that case. Only HTTP has a defined method for identifying the domain cleanly on a single IP. :/ FTP and email can be cleanly virtualized with out-of-the-box software; look into ProFTPD (http://www.proftpd.net) and Teapop (http://www.toontown.org/teapop)- I've had good results with them. You'll have to look into different authentication systems (PAM modules, NSS, I'm not sure what else), and possibly hacking an existing module or system to do what you want; I'm not aware of very many that support multiple domains cleanly. :( Some of this can be managed by Webmin; much of it can't. -kgd -- <erno> hm. I've lost a machine.. literally _lost_. it responds to ping, it works completely, I just can't figure out where in my apartment it is. |
