Neil: The address 127.0.0.1 is the local loop back address. I am assuming the Samba Server is running on the Linux System you are running the Webmin on. I am also assuming you are trying to map the Samba Server as a drive on a Windows machine. Samba seems to be a little more involved. This is the description on the Stunnel page. http://www.stunnel.org/examples/smb_grant.html In any case you wouldn't want to use the connect to remote Host. I believe this would be used if the Linux Machine was acting as the Client, rather than the Server. So you are looking at an inetd type service (now xinetd in newer systems) or run it in PTY mode. I haven't had a chance to try and make this work. It is on my to do list. I will try an move it up a bit and see what I find. [mailto:web...@li...]On Behalf Of Neil Aggarwal Sent: May 4, 2002 11:03 PM To: Webmin List Subject: How to set-up samba SSL tunnel? Hello: I am trying to set up an SSL Tunnel for samba. I have set up samba with my shares. I then did the following: Login to webmin on the server Click on Servers Click on SSL Tunnels Click on Add new SSL tunnel. I filled in the form with the following values: Service name: samba TCP port: 2139 Active: Yes For the Tunnel destination options, I was not sure what to do, so I selected Connect to remote host, Fill in Remote hostname: 127.0.0.1 Remote port: 139 I left the other options as their default values. Hit the Create button. Hit the Apply Changes button. But, when I try to connect, I get this error from my client stunnel: connected from 192.168.1.7:1207 remote connect: Unknown error (10060) I set the debug level on my samba to maximum, but I dont see any error messages, so I dont think the tunnel is connecting to the samba on the server.
