Locked out after defaulting IPtables to DROP

  • 2012-02-27

(sorry if this is a double post, I initially posted in the Help forum and I don't seem to have the option to delete or move it from there)

Running Webmin 1.58 on Debian 5.0

Today I was playing around with my new Debian 5.0 installation and Webmin and when I went in Webmin to /Networking/Linux Firewall I set all three (INPUT, FORWARD and OUTPUT) to default to DROP. Sure enough, I locked myself out. I can now access my Debian via console only. Absolutely no access through Webmin, which is now blocked, along with everything else.

How I can reset the firewall manually and make it default to ACCEPT again?

    Thanks in advance.
