Not sure to what degree this could be counted as a
bug, rather than a limitation.

Would like to see the extension to the Disk and
Network Filesystems module to allow for the ability
to set file and directory permissions on mapped
(smbfs) drives.

The smbmount command supports the switches
fmask and dmask to set file and directory
permissions respectively.

mount -t smbfs -
o "username=unamehere,gid=501,password=pwher

e,uid=501,fmask=775,dmask=775" //sname/shrna

me /localdir2map2

The default permissions for files and directories
appears to be 755 (for both).

Technically the default behaviour means you are
stuck with a potentially undesirable permissions
set on files and directory structures.

Obviously changes here need to be mirrored in
writing permenant entries into /etc/fstab (or
equivelent on non-Linux filesystems).

Hope this can be easily done.

Thanks and regards,

Nick

That's a good idea .. I will add the ability to set file and
    directory modes
    to the next webmin release.
