No

If a unix user is changed, I tested renamed, then the
smbpasswd file is not updated to reflect that change.

I should be more specific, it does not change the passwd
when a user is renamed. I have to manually go and change
    the passwd using smbpasswd.

It appears as if this is the case:
The username is changed. You can verify in the smbpasswd
file. BUT, if you go and change the passwd using
smbpasswd, it claims that it cant find an entry for that
user. I have to delete the user then add them back in
using smbpasswd. Sorry about the confusion, it is late and
    I am hungry. :)

Could you email your smbpasswd file to me at
jcameron@webmin.com ? Maybe webmin is messing it up in
some way when a user is renamed..

Umm, is there another way I can help you?
This is a production machine. Unfortunately, it probably
    has some important passwords.

Well, you could just leave out the passwords from the file.
And you don't have to send the whole thing, just the problem
user's line and a few above and below it.

This kinda ties into a similar post below so I will leave
it to you to do whatever with this post.

    Thank you!

The password gets changed when I use the "change passwords"
    module.
    :)

I dont know if you intended it to work for the "user admin"
    module or not.
