I use MBOX style mailboxes and does not hold them in /var/spool/mail/ as default.
They are in every user's home directory (ex /home/user/mbox) and therefore I have changed DEFAULT and ORGMAIL enivironment variables to $HOME/mbox under Webmin's Procmail mail filter configuration page.
Works like a charm except that on every Webmin update these environment variables go back to default value: /var/spool/mail/

Which mail server are you using there? Virtualmin will sync the delivery destination in /etc/procmailrc with your mail server's settings. For Postfix, these are defined in /etc/postfix/main.cf

I am using sendmail. As far as I know - the /etc/procmailrc is the only place for procmail to store it's machine wide data. At least when using sendmail, not postfix.

Ok, in that case you should go to Servers -> Sendmail in Webmin, and click on the Module Config link. In the "User mail file location" field select "File under home directory", and in the "Mail file in home directory" field enter mbox
