After updating Webmin to 0.950 the MySQL module does
not work. Is says: MySQL is not running on your
system - database list could not be retrieved.

Bit this is not so, MySQL is running but Webmin thinks
it is not. I can start MySQL using the Webmin module
and still it thinks it is not running. Everything
worked fine before the upgrade and I have looked at
the config file but everything looks fine there.
I am running RedHat 7.2 and version 3.23.49a of MySQL

The /etc/webmin/mysql/config looks like this (I have
removed the password and host is set to localhost):

start_cmd=/etc/rc.d/init.d/mysql start
sync_modify=1
style=0
pass=*******
nodbi=0
stop_cmd=/etc/rc.d/init.d/mysql stop
sync_create=1
mysqlimport=/usr/bin/mysqlimport
sync_privs=
host=
perpage=25
sock=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
mysqladmin=/usr/bin/mysqladmin
mysql_libs=/var/lib/mysql
sync_delete=
mysqlshow=/usr/bin/mysqlshow
mysqldump=/usr/bin/mysqldump
login=root
mysql=/usr/bin/mysql
add_mode=0

    One thing you might want to try is editing the Module Config
    and setting the 'Path to MySQL shared libraries directory'
    option to None, as it is probably not needed on your system.

    Also, if you go into the Command Shell module of webmin and
    run the command

    /usr/bin/mysql -u 'root' -pyourpassword -S
    /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock status

    what does it output?

    The problem is solved. As J.Cameron suggested I set 'Path
    to MySQL shared libraries directory' to none and everything
    works now. Thank you J.Cameron.
