The text shown next to the package is not always correct - ie it is the desxcrption from another package.
Sounds like a bug.. which operating system or linux distribution are you running there?
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.4 (Tikanga)
A fairly quick perusal of the fully expanded package tree list shows all checked to be correct.
It seems just to be the "OpenLDAP servers and related files." is somehow a folder incorrectly?
Could you attach a screenshot to this bug showing the incorrect descriptions?
any chance you mean you missed tthe already attached screen shot?
Yes, I missed it :-)
Are you running Webmin 1.510 there? I thought I fixed this exact issue in the 1.510 release ..
Installing it now.
By the way how to disable the fronpage of webmin so that it does not whow:
Package updates All installed packages are up to date
and the message regarding wemin updates?
Yes, bug report problem fixed with 1.510.
What is wrong with that message on the front page? Is it slow, or just wrong?
When it says all packages are up to date, it means all YUM or APT packages. Webmin may have been installed from some other source..
just takes a while and is not relevant all that much. How to disable these two software version checks please?
You should be able to disable it at Webmin -> Webmin Configuration -> Background Status Collection -> Collect available package updates?.
ok, many thanks.
