I can create a backup with several directories to backup in one step.
But when one of those folders contains a space in the name, ie "/home/foo bar"
The backup will fail with:

tar: Removing leading `/' from member names
tar: /home/foo: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: bar: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

.. backup failed!

Discussion

  • Examination of '.dump' files show dirs are stored with tab \t, not spaces.
    so I tried this:
    in /usr/libexec/webmin/fsdump/linux-lib.pl
    change line 341
    from: local @dirs = split(/\s+/, $_[0]->{'dir'});
    to: local @dirs = split(/\t+/, $_[0]->{'dir'});

    Works with single directorys and multiple (w and w/o spaces).
