I run Webmin on a OpenSuSe 10.0 distro. Running 1.270
worked fine. I upgraded to 1.280 via the webmin upgrade
mechanism, but now the only thing still working is the
Webmin Configuration module.
When I click on any other main tab (System, Servers,
Networking, Hardware, Cluster or Others) the page
simply reloads, but it doesn't change to the tab I
selected.

I use the Caldera theme and have tried switching to
other themes to see if that might help. It only changes
the theme of the login dialog, the theme of the main
page is not changed. Restarting Webmin, or even the
server itself did not help.

Does it help if you un-install Webmin, and then re-install
the 1.280 version? The problem may be caused by an upgrade
from a package built by OpenSuSE to the official Webmin RPM.

The only down-side to this is that settings related to
Webmin itself (like webmin users and configurations) will be
    lost.

    I uninstalled webmin 1.280, re-installed 1.270, tried the
upgrade again, unistalled 1.280 again, installed 1.280 from
scratch again (webmin-1.280-1.noarch.rpm) but still the same
    response.

    I now run 1.270 again.

If you are having trouble changing the theme, try doing it
in the Change Language and Theme module. This overrides the
global setting in the Webmin Configuration module.

There is no problem changing the theme. I merely switched
themes to see if there was some bug which was
theme-specific. That doesn't seem to be the case.

When you try to re-install, try deleting the /etc/webmin
    directory before installing 1.280..
Also, which browser are you using there?

I will try deleting /etc/webmin tonight.

I use IE6 at work and Firefox 1.5 at home.

I am sorry, but my testing was a bit incomplete. It does
look like it is a theme-related problem.

I just switched to MSC theme and upgraded once again. This
time it worked fine. I triggered this from work, using IE.

Yep, it is theme related. As you suggested earlier I now
switched themes in the "Change language and themes" module.
Switching to Caldera results in the original problem.
Switching back to MSC theme lets it work fine again.

Is there any reason now to still try and do it again while
    first deleting /etc/webmin ?

So does it only happen when using the Caldera theme?

That is indeed the case (for me). It only happens using the
Caldera theme. MSC Theme works perfectly. (as far as I can
    see now).

OK, I see the cause of this now - it is a bug in the Caldera
theme. An update to fix it is available from
    http://www.webmin.com/updates.html
